A wide zoom range and compact design makes the Angenieux 7-81mm an attractive workhorse zoom for any small gauge production. This lens covers Super 16mm and a bit extra. It is amazingly clean and sharp while having a subtle vintage vibe. It reproduces good contrast and color, with little chromatic aberration. The lens features rainbow flares when used wide open. Due to its tele-centric design, the 7-81 reproduces very well on digital sensors in S16 mode. Pairs with a 1.4x or 1.6x expander for good coverage of Super 35 sensors and a whole new look.
